Pizza e Pasta in Szeged
What a nice restaurant to visit on a week when Tasteem invites us to write about Pasta vs Pizza.
I discovered Pizza e Pasta, a restaurant in Szeged as I search Google for the best Italian restaurant in the city. I am not sure if it actually is the best Italian, but at least we paid the restaurant a visit, and it is nice to know that it is located at a very nice square in the heart of the city of Szeged.
The restaurant looks nice on the inside, and the crew working there was very nice to us.
We sat down to eat both pasta and pizza. The pizza we decided to taste was a Bolognese pizza, but unfortunately, we ordered because we are fans of Bolognese in general. But, this wasn't a success to us. It was packed with beans, and somehow, this was not the kind of Bolognese we like.
The pizza dough/crust was nice, so it wasn't a bad place to eat pizza, but it was just the bolognese pizza that didn't end up being a success during our stay.
The pasta was gnochi with some meat and lots of smoked cheese. It was so much cheese, that if you would eat it all, your stomach would feel it for a long time afterward.
The price level of the restaurant was fairly okay. An average pizza costed around 2000 HUF (6-7 Euro), and a main course (pasta) had the same average price. A bottle of Coke (0,33 L) had a price of around 350 HUF.
All in all, an okay place to eat Italian in Szeged, but I do hope they have some better Italian restaurants than this in their city as well!

I do not think I have ever seen beans on a pizza. Or in anything Bolognese! Interesting to say the least!
