Spirit de Milan
Sunday i went for the first time to place I'm sure I'll visit again and again.
Is an old glass factory in a almost abandoned industrial area in the suburbs of Milano and is totally meneghino style. That means you feels like your DeLorean stopped in 1955 right after the second world war, while the city was hardly trying to rise from the conflict.
The factory is partly restored for safety reason but a big part is 50's as you can see:
Atmosphere is like old times, look at the tablecloth:
Lunch is "social" and all tables are about 16 seats so if your group is smaller or bigger than 16 people someone can be added or moved to another table.
The dish list is based on Milanese cuisine with very good traditional and seasonal dishes.
Wine list is ONLY from Lombardia with some pearl like Valtellina's wines.
Beer are provided by the local Brewer Angelo Poretti and is available on tab or bottled.
After lunch the backyard becomes a dance floor with lot of people, dressed in 50's style, dancing the swing and a jazz band playing live on the stage!
I'll surely visit again this place!
