Lotus Desaru Seafood Restaurant || Food2day Review

Good Evening Steemians. Thank you for dropping by. Today we are looking at a restaurant that me and @miniu went to during our last vacation. The name of the place is Lotus Desaru Seafood Restaurant.

THE PLACE

Lotus Desaru Seafood Restaurant is actually located within of Lotus Desaru Beach Resort. The restaurant is open air. Its located just beside the beach so its quite windy all the time and of course the view is awesome. The arrangement and design itself is nice and classical too.

THE MENU

Like what the name suggests, coming here is for their seafood. But apparently, their non-seafood dishes are quite good as well. The dishes below are what we ordered during our visit:

1. Claypot Mix Vege With Seafood
   Squids, small prawns, combination of mushrooms, carrots, brocolis, peas and beancurd served with thick oyster soy sauce. The claypot definitely served its purpose in keeping it warm for quite a long time. This dish is definitely one that you can just order to eat solo with rice.
   
2. Salted Egg Fried Squid
   Like the name suggest, this dish comes with salted egg flavour. If you are a fan of salted egg like us, you will definitely like this dish. Its not oily or hard, yet is soft and juicy when we have it in our mouth.
   
3. Singaporean Fried Vermicelli
   We didnt ordered any rice so we ordered this a replacement. It turn out to be our liking as well. Although it just look like some normal fried vermicelli you can find anywhere,
   
4. Stir-fried Lettuce
   The vege is nice as it is not overcooked. The taste is also very delicious.
   
5. Stir-fried Clam with Sambal
   The clam is very fresh and nicely cooked. Sambal spice up the clam giving it a spicy taste. Those who likes spicy food will surely enjoy this dish.
   
6. Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab
   This dish is a little bit too salty. But when dip with either chilli or mayonaise, they are perfect.
   
7. Lamb Bulgogi
   Although we are at a seafood restaurant, other than recommending their seafood, I will surely recommend this dish. The meat is marinated well with their own recipe. It is also very juicy, soft and tender as the cooking time must be well cared of (they really take their time to prepare this dish as it came last).
   
8. Ice Cream Chendol
   They also serve dessert here. This is just quite ordinary but if you are really craving for dessert while you are here, go on ahead. Its still quite satisfying for a dessert goer like me and @miniu.

PRICE	✯✯✯✰✰	All in all the price of the food here is just like the price you can find in any restaurant or hotel cafe.
TASTE	✯✯✯✯✰	As for the taste for the food, they are above average, but surely there is another place which is better in terms of seafood around here. But surely if you are happen to be around here, dont miss out their lamb bulgogi.
PORTION	✯✯✯✯✰	Their portion is quite big as well (especially the Lamb Bulgogi). Usually 2 to 3 dishes is enough for two person.
Service	✯✯✯✯✯	The waiters here are friendly and fast to response. There are also singing performance which helps to spice up the mood.
LOCATION	✯✯✯✯✯	The place is perfect for dates and family dinner as well as for groups. The surrounding is awesome.
HYGIENE	✯✯✯✯✯	Very clean

All in all, we really enjoy our meal at this place. We took our time eating as well as taking some photographs. Again, if you do happen to be around or near to Desaru, do drop by this place. Remember to try the LAMB BULGOGI ya.

Extra: Not forget to mention, alcohol is available here and the parking is free.
