Green Bean Porridge
Good morning, everyone. Today I want to review one of Indonesia's most famous traditional foods, going abroad, it's called green bean porridge.
Green bean porridge is a dessert, with a sweet taste, made from mung beans boiled with water, palm sugar and pandan leaves. And usually served with coconut milk and black sticky Green bean porridge is a designation used in Indonesia. Being one of the traditional foods that is much liked by the people of Indonesia, green bean porridge is still hunted as a dish that is often eaten at dusk or at night. But there are also those who make it breakfast.
The soft combination of green beans and coconut milk broth, produces a melting taste in the mouth. Moreover, if served with a piece of white bread, guaranteed you will be hard to stop eating it.
Not difficult to get a bowl of green bean porridge, you can find it in various street vendors along the road in the city or the traditional market.
As I bought this morning, the place is near the road and not too big, only using a cart to sell. The price is quite cheap for one portion only IDR 4000. If it tastes really good it is really suitable for a breakfast menu. If you are confused for breakfast try this one menu.
