Chinese Food for the Lunch, Jakarta- Indonesia

Hello friends!
Today I would like to share one of the our food experience in one of a Chinese Food Restaurant on 5th floor, West Mall Grand Indonesia.
The restaurant's name was Lamian Palace. Liked its' name you all probably could easily guess, what is their special menu.. Yes, it was Chinese lamian.. But this time we would like to eat the chinese food without eating any lamian here. Like we usually had done cause I think the chinese food here were all delicious. And also they sold pork here.

What we chose for the lunch

Crab and asparagus Soup

The first time I smell it, I knew that it wasn't fresh so I called the waiter to tell him the fact. And it was good that the supervisor then came to us and wanted to exchange it with the new one. And after we got the new soup one, I thought the flavor of the soup was savory and without any pepper. Although they changed it into the new one which had the more fresh crab, actually it felt not good for my tongue, just savory and the crab meat were only really few and small, the more were the eggs crumbled there. The taste of it was just so so.

Pork BBQ Combination

Here was the combination between crispy roasted pork and also BBQ honey pork. It also served with the sweet sauce. The flavor of the pork were all not too tasty. The crispy pork were not crispy at all. Mom thought the BBQ honey was better. But I thought the BBQ one was a bit hard to swallow, and honestly I don't think that these were all fresh.

The fried prawn with salted egg

This one was totally delicious. Although Mom told me that she liked the crispy one better than these which was not too crispy. We really enjoyed the last menu much. The shrimps were fresh and soft (they didn't made it too crispy). And also the salted egg here made it tasty and delicious. I loved it!

And we also ordered our favorite Chrysanthemum Chinese tea and rice for the lunch.

All of the food here were served in one small portion which only enough for 1-2 persons. The service was good. And I thought they changed many mainland chinese chefs here into the local chefs to make it lower at salary but it is really a sorry cause I thought the food decreased in its' taste. And also if you eat here for the birthday and showed your ID card, you will get the birthday buns for free. It actually were steamed buns with sweet pandan jam inside.

It was sweet and pandan jam was really tasty. But the buns were not really soft at it used to be before.

If you come to Jakarta Indonesia and would like to eat here I recommend the fried shrimp with salted egg and also their lamian or dimsum to try...
