Chiu's - The Modern Local
Chiu's The Modern Local is an elite Cafe which serves high quality food that is created and made by its owner, Eugene. When I visited his Facebook page. I could tell he emphasized a lot in quality food.
My music club members and I went to have a gathering at Chiu's.
We organize the music events in our hometown. They were the most incredible work mates I had ever worked with.
In Chiu's, we noticed the high end menu selection and the high prices.
For drinks, I chose Peppermint Latte Cold and my friend ordered Green Tea Latte Hot. Other friends were not so much into taking photos of their food and drinks Haha.
The whole cafe was aromatic with coffee beans roasted smell. Their set up was amazing too. The furnitures were natural wood colour. There were high tables, side cushion seats and low comfy sofa seats.
The pricing in this Cafe is higher than usual. The Peppermint Latte costed about RM17.90 whereas the Green Latte was RM12.90.
Peppermint Latte is coffee plus skimmed milk plus peppermint syrup. I did not sugar. I love the original taste.
The Green Tea Latte was wonderful as it was still warm and the Latte art was very nice. The taste was genuinely tea leaves. We had to be careful because there are many cases of fake ingredients entered our country. For example, the fake Green Tea Latte tasted more like Jasmine tea, the colour was very green. The original green tea taste has some greeny texture and a little bitterness. The real colour is green brown.
We were so happy to have this gathering at this nice elite place.

The customer service that we received were friendly and accommodating. They really were enthusiastic for our comfort and what we think about their food.
