Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant | Tasteem Review
There’s not many Chinese restaurants that I’ve been to since I moved to Vietnam. Maybe, because I’ve been pampered with the best when I’m back home in Malaysia that I feel there’s none that can match to what’s back home.
Boy ! Was I wrong…
Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant is MUST visit restaurant if you’re in HCMC. Located on the 4th floor of Landmark 81, this restaurant serves one of the best Chinese cuisines I’ve ever tried thus far. It has a homy feeling, not just because of its food but also because of the service staff. Marcus, the Manager in charge always makes us feel right at home. Speaking to us in Cantonese and English combine and knowing what dishes we prefer to suit our taste buds, makes each visit better than the one before.
We’re here for lunch most of time since its like a secret hideout for us Malaysians. And our orders are always the all-time favorite Dim Sum.
I would always fung zao Chicken Feet while my colleague would get his siew mai Pork Dumpling or har gau Crystal Shrimp Dumpling. Every now and then, we would add either a chau lo bak kou Radish Cake, char siu bao Steam Pork Bun, lo mai kai Sticky Rice with Lotus Leaf and dan tat Egg Tart.
Of course, there are many other dim sum choices to choose from but we seemed to always stick to our favorites. In our last visit, Marcus had introduced to us a new dim sum dish which Chef had prepared, something old and yet something new.
While you may be familiar with the dish wu kok Crispy Yam Puff, the one recommended to us is Black Charcoal Yam Puff. One look at it and it’s a prefect photo to be taken. We didn’t even tried it until we finished the rest of our other dim sum orders. It’s so beautiful to look at that its such a waste to eat it. And Boy ! It taste really good !
Of course, we were celebrating so out came the white wine. Not the usual drink to have with dim sum but what the heck! Wine goes with everything and it must be happy hours in another part of the world.
Finishing our meal with their signature dessert, I opt for chilled Coconut Jelly. Just the perfect ending to a perfect lunch meal.

The Black Charcoal Yam Puff is the main attractions for me, I would have taken with all angle for this well plated dim sum.
😉 I kept the other angle for other post... Ha ha
