We dropped in here on our last night. It was close to our hotel so very convenient. The food was great, service very good and a great laugh with the manager Thanh. We left having a great time.

Really good quality and taste, and the the food and drink were extremely well priced, and as well as some delicious dishes we managed to enjoy Hanoi beer as well. Staff were very attentaive - though on the evening we went it was very quiet, and we were in the (lovely, authentic and traditional) downstairs front room, along with just 1 other diner - just having some music on in the background would help with the ambience.

We loved our dinner at the Old Hanoi. The restaurant is an old converted mansion, with tables through out the establishment catering to different sized groups. There were several large rooms for larger groups if needed.
Our party of four ate in the main room just inside the main entrance. It was lovely. Our waitress was extremely attentive, providing help with our different diet restrictions and their menu offerings. We shared a number of different dishes including shrimp pancakes (awesome!), caramel beef hot pot (very tender), pork spring rolls (hard to screw up), fried noodles, vegetables and chicken, lemon grass chicken (great), both steamed and fried rice, along with 4 drinks. All the entrees were great. Total bill was around $50 US. I thought it was good value and will be back to the Old Hanoi again.
