A LittleSweet
This week I got dragged by my wife to go to a cafe called A Littlesweet. She found it on internet and said the desserts were 'really cute'. I'm not sure if a cafe called A Littlesweet with 'really cute' desserts was my place, but I don't have much option really. Luckily my concerns were unnecessary when we arrived. The outside wasn't all girly as I had worried about, and there were a couple of guys there as well.
They don't have the cakes on display in the cafe as its a small place and they don't have a display cabinet or fridge. They showed us the daily selections from photos on their mobile phone when we asked them what they looked like. They were written on the board behind the counter, but I like to see what I'm eating espcially when my wife emphasised 'really cute'.
One dessert caught my eye immediately so that was a no brainer. My wife ordered another which I knew she would. No prizes for guessing which is mine.
So mine is a green tea tiramisu football field, but it was a bit too sweet and felt more like a mousse than tiramisu. The other one was snowman berries sitting on a snowy chocolate mountain. I have to be honest, it was 'really cute'. I tasted a bit, and it was good!
The cafe doesn't offer a wide selection, just a few desserts and some drinks. This is the menu which doubles up as the order form.
This is quite a small place, and only sits around 10 people. Some of the seats were on these Japanese style tatami where you have to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. Luckily we got a normal table.
They have an upstairs but I think it's private as they curtained it off. They had placed a few books and plants on the steps which was a nice touch. The whole place was decorated quite simple, homely and stylish.
It wasn't very busy and we weren't rushed away after we finished our dessert so that was quite good. There was a self service area for you to pour your own drinking water, so we didn't have to keep on ordering another drink when we finished our first one.
