Good day dear mates! @travoved is here! And today I want to tell you about one of the most authentic restaurant in Dresden in my opinion.
This restaurant located in the heart of Dresden opposite the Zwinger and Semperoper.

Entering this restaurant you find yourself in the Baroque era of Augustus the Strong. The Sophienkeller restaurant has several rooms with its own unique atmosphere. But at the same time, even if there are a lot of guests in the hall, you can still talk with your traveler without raising your voice.

However, I propose moving from the interior to the menu. They submitted it to us in the form of such a letter.
The menu includes hot dishes, soups, appetizers salads, fish, poultry, desserts and ice cream. And of course you can easily find drinks on the menu. It will be not only hot tea or coffee, but also beer, local wines, schnapps and champagne August der Starke Sekt bA, Schloss Wackerbarth. Last but not least you should not miss out on the famous funnel drinking, called "Dresdner Trichtertrinken".
And this time I stopped my choice on braised knuckle of pork with marjoram sauce, sauerkraut, herb potaoes served with mustard, and red wine.
For dessert, I ordered a saxon specialty made from potatoes and curd, fried and rolled in sugar with apple sauce and whipped cream.
In my opinion all dishes were prepared with a soul and beautifully served. Desert was tasty and fresh,applesauce was not sugary and liquid.
The waiters were polite and helpful with us. And at the end of our dinner, musicians in traditional costumes entered the hall and performed several songs.
As conclusion I want to say that I strongly recomend you to visit this place if you will be in Dresden and want to havedinner in such spectacular place!
