From the 60s in Venezuela it became trending to disguise as "negrita" (a sweet appellative given to a black girl). As I have been able to find out that trend was not exclusive to our country, as I found several examples in the Canary Islands. But I'll refer to our case.

This was a disguise that, by the use of the mask and a generally "voluptuous" outfit, allowed to hide the identity very well, as well as the gender. For that reason it was so effective to many jokes, as well as to many abuses.

However, it was well received and, in general, it was very fun.

However, the "negritas" were becoming less and less common during the Carnival celebrations. Still, by the early 90s, there was still some people who used it (this impersonal way of describing it is not to confess that the tallest "negrita" in the photo is me...).

It was characteristic of these characters to say in a falsetto voice: "I bet you don't know me", while they made the competition to the queens of the carnival, throwing candies to the spectators of the parades.

At the end of the publication I leave a couple of images corresponding to the carnivals of the 60s.

A partir de los años 60 en Venezuela se puso de moda disfrazarse de "negrita" (según he podido averiguar esa moda no fue exclusiva de nuestro país, pues encontré varios ejemplos en las Islas Canarias).

Este era un disfráz que, por el uso de la máscara y un atuendo generalmente "voluptuoso", permitía muy bien ocultar la identidad. Por esa razón se prestaba para muchas bromas, así como para muchos abusos.

Sin embargo era bien recibido y, por lo general, resultaba muy divertido.

Sin embargo, las "negritas" fueron haciéndose cada vez menos comunes en las fiestas carnestolendas. Aún así, para principios de los años 90, todavía había quien lo usara (esta forma tan impersonal de describirlo es para no confesar que la "negrita" más alta de la foto soy yo...).

Era característico de esos personajes decir con voz de falsete: "A qué no me conoces", a la vez que le hacían la competencia a las reinas del carnaval, lanzando caramelos a los espectadores de los desfiles.

Al final de la publicación dejo un par de imágenes correspondientes a los carnavales de los años 60.

Von den 60er Jahren ab wurde es in Venezuela eine Mode, für Karneval, sich als "Negrita" (eine süße Berufung für ein schwarzes Mädchen) zuverkleiden. Wie ich feststellen konnte, war das nicht ausschließlich in unserem Land, da ich auf den Kanarischen Inseln mehrere Beispiele fand. Aber ich beziehe mich auf unseren Fall.

Dies war eine Verkleidung, die durch die Verwendung der Maske und eines im Allgemeinen "üppigen" Outfits die Identität sehr gut verbergen konnte, ebenso wie das Geschlecht. Aus diesem Grund war es für viele Witze und für viele Misshandlungen so effektiv.

Es wurde jedoch gut angenommen und machte im Allgemeinen sehr viel Spaß.

Während der Karnevalsfeiern wurden die "Negritas" jedoch immer seltener. In den frühen 90ern gab es jedoch immer noch einige Leute, die es benutzten (diese unpersönliche Art zu beschreiben ist um nicht zu gestehen, dass ich die größte "Negrita" auf dem Foto bin ...).

Es war charakteristisch für diese Charaktere, mit einer Falsett-Stimme zu sagen: "Ich wette, du kennst mich nicht", während sie den Königinnen des Karnevals Konkurrenz machten und den Zuschauern der Paraden Süßigkeiten zuwarf.
