Last weekend was the 2018 Victorian state election and like a glutton for punishment I volunteered to be a booth captain to assign volunteers to booths across the west to ensure people knew how to vote Labor.
The morning was cold and the day was long but I got to meet a lot of friendly faces and made a bunch of new friends. Which was made all the worthwhile when I found out we won the election giving the Liberals their largest loss since 1978.
The after party was great and Trades Hall nearly blew it's roof off with the crampacked venue.
We partied well into the night and the early hours of the morning!
We're looking forward to governing for four more years!
