I want to thank @walden for opening my eyes to the level of abuse and harassment that is not only tolerated, but rewarded, here on the Steemit platform. Someone at the Tennessee meetup sent him one of the worst pictures of me I've ever seen, knowing he would think it could be a weapon to use against me. Too bad I don't care who did so or why.
Hey genius: Someone sitting in their nice air-conditioned home with two hours of makeup and a photo filter and picking the best of the pictures is going to look differently than they do sitting on a porch in Tennessee in 90% humidity in a picture that an even bigger scumbag than you picked out so you could use it for harassment and comment spam.
And if you think my right eye being mutilated during one of two failed attempts on my life is funny ... you're the joke, dude. You just aren't smart enough to get it.
But he wins. @steemit might as well hire him as their spokesperson.
We have some projects in the works utilizing the Steem blockchain, but this platform is a cesspool of hatred and abuse, and I'm getting to old to be a righteous crusader for truth and justice. If nobody else will do it ... well, you reap what you sow. Your silence is deafening.
Disappointment is generally caused by unrealistic expectations. It was a mistake to let my guard down, let any of you meet me in person, let others profit at my expense. Lesson learned.

It is sad to see just how low people can go, I know it happens - we all do, but even the worst I have ever encountered before had some moral standards - this really is the lowest of the low.
I have never tried to hide the fact I love this platform myself, since being introduced to Steemit I have followed an incredible journey where I have met so many incredible people - albeit virtually they have given me a renewed sense of life and belonging - so many I now feel are truly friends even though I have never met them and most likely never will. To me the minority of bad is far outweighed by the incredible majority of good - although I have just maybe been lucky nobody has yet chosen to pick on the tiny tit with a beard.
That you have support though @ancapbarbie is without a doubt, in the short time I have been in contact with you it has been truly inspirational - you really are the most incredible person who will give anyone as much time as they need to help and encourage them. Be it guidance on Markdown, post composition or even just how to compose yourself on Steemit - so many accounts on here have you to thank for guiding and supporting their progress.
@tygertyger has been fiercely fighting your corner, I understand her concerns and it should not go without saying that you truly have a loyal guardian in her fighting her side. You both know you have your admiration, as people with solid Spirt and Soul you stand up and fight for what you believe - something so many could learn from.
@thekittygirl has also pitched in her support, you are truly much more loved then you may actually appreciate.
@ancapbarbie you have my upmost respect, when we are struggling with the hardest times and most opposition sometimes the smallest sentiment can help just a little. So as the smallest, most beardy useless singer of Karaoke on steemit you have my utmost support - it's not worth much but it's all I got to give! Stay safe, and thanks for all the fish.

I've seen you say something alone these lines plenty of times before, but I didn't think that this would be the final blow. I simply thought you'd fade off of steemit. This is honestly dirty and underhanded.
I hate it.
But most of all I respect your deicision to draw away from the community. Wearing yourself thin won't help anyone. Battling continously at your age... isn't fesiable anymore.

absolutely not my experience until now. I've read several Germans saying what they like about steemit is the (German speaking) community.
But I'm not active long here, so...
and experiences also always differ to a degree.
I hope your experience here is more rewarding than mine has been. :)

@battleaxe well from what I have been finding out @jonny-clearwater is the only one who has the footage the pic was taken from and that footage was not published yet to it looks pretty much like it was either him or his wife ...
It wasn't likely him or his wife, as neither of them were outside much nor do I recall either taking pictures of me. Nor did @katrina-ariel, @sircork, or @enginewitty.
Doesn't matter, really. They know who they are, and they either realize they fucked up or they're an even bigger scumbag sociopath than @walden.
