Thanks for reminding me of this gem of a movie @bboyady! It's been awhile since I last watched it and it seems like it might just be another time in my left where I should revisit the film and gain some perspective. Totally forgot just how many life lessons they exist in this movie.

Just reading through your post, it just struck me that the reason that Forrest got so far in life is because he's simple, he doesn't over complicate things, and he just keeps moving forward with his actions regardless of whatever happens and whatever people around him say.

It's sort of like what garyvee says, "What's the ROI of not giving a f*ck?"
