Bad Boss Cafe

A couple of years ago, I had the privilege to be one of the special guest for the opening of this restaurant known as The Bad Boss Cafe. Located near the Sungei Besi Highway, this area was previously famous due to F&N Office. The owners of this restaurant are 2 great travel ambassadors of Malaysia, Eric & Henry. They were the pioneers of inbound business into Malaysia; bringing in foreign tourist from all over the world to visit Malaysia.

20-30 years ago, these travel ambassadors walk the streets carrying brochures & flyers, trying their best to convince foreign travel agents to bring their guests to stay in Malaysia. Naturally, those days, no one knows who, where or what is Malaysia. Google wasn't that great then... Anyhow, both Henry & Eric are definitely an icon in the travel industry. FYI.. their travel company is Discovery Overland.. next door to The Bad Boss Cafe

After many years, they decided they wanted to explore the F&B industry as such that's how The Bad Boss came about. The other reason was also, as their industry friends i.e. hoteliers & travel agents constantly come over to visit them, they thought .. What if we had a little cafe which our industry friends could come by & chill out.. Wouldn't that be great ??!

The Bad Boss eventually did become a success & is a great chill out place. Food is good & affordable. Combination of western & asian cuisine with a good portion. If you wanted to make a statement to your *Boss, this place would say it out loud. Who knows you might just catch Henry at the cafe as this is his so called *canteen..

As for Eric, he has passed away a couple of months ago.. We are truly sad & miss him alot. But, we still feel his happy & bubbly presence all around the cafe & office.. It's like he's here to make sure that we're all happy & enjoying life to the fullest...
