Heidelburg Train-Station, South Africa!

Hey everyone, last week I accompanied my landlord to drop off some furniture for his brother, after we offloaded all his goods we went for a nice dinner at the Heidelburg train station, check out my last post here https://steemit.com/beer/@craigcryptoking/new-south-african-brewery

I would highly recommend popping in here for a visit for a historic walk down memory lane, they have an incredible restaurant situated in the old train, as well as a new brewery which makes fantastic home brew on the property!

Back in the day this was known as a 'field ambulance' my how times have changed, a really interesting walk down memory lane!

The main focal piece on the property an old school Steam Locomotive, these have all been replaced by new modern gas or electric units!

Here I took a couple of pics inside the train before we sat down for our magic lunch an array of burgers chips and salad.

The menu, they call them gourmet burgers, this is no understatement not only are they gourmet and delicious but big and great value for money to boot!

Old school ox wagon, back in the day pneumatic tyres had not been invented nor the internal combustion engine, so for distance commutes the folks used to use these ox drawn steel wheel wagons!
