How to Make Techno with Tom Hades
Like a lot of producers, when I’m searching for inspiration I find myself turning to YouTube pretty frequently. This video was an absolute pleasure to watch. There are so many things to take away from him here. Keeping things in tune, the power of sequencers, adding subtle variations in a track, automation... I could go on and on.
But what I really think that this video speaks to is workflow. What he presents here is a really solid way of building the fundamentals of a track in an easy to explain way.
This is one of those videos that just inspires you to create and the realization that the spark of inspiration can be really simple. It’s how you expand those ideas that matters.
Great video and essential for producers at the moment.

So nice to see you posting something by Tom Hades. Didn't hear him for a long time though, but know him from his very early days, and his works together with Marco Bailey. Wow, that must been like 1,5 decade ago or so. Time flies :)
His video really speaks to my way of working which is based around understanding sequencers rather than a knowledge of musical theory. He’s someone who I’ve enjoyed for a long time. And yeah, we are getting older but it’s cool. Just means we respect history more.
