Yeah I'd be more concerned about Facebook putting cookies in your browser. That's how advertisers really get you. Ever seen a banner ad for something you just searched? That's cookies.
So what makes this different than "scrubbing" any other publicly accessible website (including Steemit)? Anything posted publicly can be collected by the public. There's nothing that can prevent that and it's silly to worry about it. If you don't want someone collecting what you post online, don't post it online.
