It's still a machine, but in retrospect I respect my washer and dryer because its an important component to keeping my clothes clean. An AI is still programed. You give it instructions to work with. It comes down to 0's and 1's.
At that point, it wouldn't be just a machine then. If something has feelings and emotions, is it just a machine?
