The tower that purifies the air, developed by studio roosegaarde

Cities like Beijing or New York are the most populated cities on earth and have high levels of smog that fall ill despite being in the number 76 of the 100 cities that pollute most as a result of their intense industrial activity as well as the use of large numbers of fossil-fueled vehicles. Recently in a convention, they felt inspired to give the change thanks to a project led by studio Roosegaarde who have a tower that is able to remove dust and smog from cities in a reasonable time.

Considered a work of art beyond its capacity to regenerate the air since its inventor Daan Roosegaarde is a plastic artist who has time thinking about how to solve the problem of pollution and came up with the brilliant idea of immortalizing this work of art in a viable solution to end the problem of pollution.
Smog Free Tower is a tower that measures 7 meters high and thanks to the positive ionization is able to capture the smog and purify the air turning it into pure and clean air, the tower is made with 45 plates that resemble a giant shutter, which allow the entry of smog particles that are subjected to a positive electrical charge which is trapped in a filter against electrode.

Studies by different universities and groups of scientists who skeptically investigated the tower have shown that at least 100% Smog Free Tower is effective up to 75 percent of the time, a single tower is capable of recycling more than 30,000 cubic meters of air in an hour. At the moment energy is supplied through a heater but the manufacturer assures that the next models will be made with solar panels, generating neutral energy totally diminishing the environmental impact.

Currently the country most interested in this ambitious project is China, a Smog Free Tower was installed in the city of Beijing which is ranked 76th of the most polluted cities in the world, then the tower will be installed in other Chinese regions to demonstrate its effectiveness, so local governments could schedule purchases of the tower to start decontaminating cities.
The first model of the tower is located in the Dutch city of Rotterdam after being launched in Kickstarter where it was able to raise more than 130,000 dollars, the tower has a particular buzz that indicates the suction aspiration that generates positive ionization,

This project is simply amazing, but it will not make sense if the production model continues to use fossil fuel, if cars continue to use fossil fuel, everything is a matter of how you look at this invention, can be the perfect alternative to renew the air or an excuse to continue producing fuel that pollutes the environment and install Smog Free Tower to reduce the polluted air but not eradicate the problems of environmental pollution.
