A computer is a sophisticated electronic device comprising hardware and software components working together to process data and perform tasks. Its hardware includes essential elements like the central processing unit (CPU), responsible for executing instructions and calculations, as well as memory (RAM) for temporary data storage and storage devices like hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid-state drives (SSDs) for permanent data storage. The computer's operation involves a cyclical process: users input data through input devices, which is then processed by the CPU according to instructions stored in memory. Results are temporarily stored in memory before being saved to permanent storage, and finally, the output is displayed or printed for the user's consumption.
