The boring company, owned by Elon musk, has been trying to get permission from local authorities for some time to undermine the cities. The company, which received approval for the first project, started to work in Los Angeles in December 2016. Musk announced on the Instagram account that the first part of the tunnel was completed on May 10, 2018.

In this project, which musk decided to put into effect after being bored of traffic, when the vehicles are plugged into red light, they are reduced to the tunnel below by means of an elevator system and travel at 200 km per hour with the rail system in this tunnel. Thus, the driver does not experience any traffic jams, but he / she completes his / her passenger much more quickly than he / she did before.

When completed, the tunnel will be 21 km in length and will be further enlarged over time as in the lines of the Metra. In the tunnel, vehicles will travel at speeds up to 200 km / h with the help of a special rail system.

Musk's company has already dug underground tunnels, which it says is a reliable solution to reduce future traffic. The tunnels are only excavated under the parking lot of SpaceX's headquarters in Los Angeles right now. Because the musk will need city permits to build tunnels into the public space.
