As the saying goes 'Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely'

Google’s unofficial motto has long been the simple phrase “don’t be evil.” But that’s over, according to the code of conduct that Google distributes to its employees. The phrase was removed sometime in late April or early May, archives hosted by the Wayback Machine show.

Also related, a recently leaked internal Google video shows that the firm is exploring ways of using mass data collection to manipulate users into following Google’s own values.

This all just further highlights the importance of decentralization & blockchain technology, and how we can't just trust super-powerful entities to always have our best interests in mind.
