Genome editing tool that is creating a buzz in the science world. Faster cheaper than previous DNA editing techniques. Remove,add or altering sections of DNA sequence
Consist of two key molecules

  1. Enzyme (cas 9) act as a pair of molecule scissor and cut two strands of DNA at a specific location in the genome
  2. A piece of RNA 530wm.jpgconsists of small piece of pre-designed RNA sequence that binds to DNA
    Uses
    --can improve genetic disorder by replacing bad genes
    --can completely knock out any gene according to our use
