new technologies in television series - crowdsourcing

Did you also notice, that new technologies and their applications/apps are strongly focussed in new television series? Do they also impress, inspire or also scarring you at the same time?

Recently i started to watch the new serie Wisdom of the crowd and i was impressed by the idea to catch criminals with the help of anybody, having/using the crowdsourcing app Sophe.

The key-note to use technologie in a helpful or supporting way makes sense to everybody, no?

Another serie example, even one where you should have good IT skills or knowledge (which i dont have!) is:

Actually my son, which is IT specialist, told me about the topic of this serie. When he tried to explain to me, it was difficult for me to understand all the IT related terms, even if he tried to explain me very carefully and patiently. But what i surely understood is, that the focus is on hackers and their power for manipulation.

But overall i must say, that i love series with interesting topics. Furthermore i can always learn a little bit more about IT.
