Tell a Story to me (Sci-fi / Terror) - 360 degrees of freedom

That morning Camilo woke up, his face denoted several days of late and of multiple worries. However, today was a great day for him and his team. They knew that from now on their problems, the number of threats and protests against their proposal would multiply, but they had to move forward. Everything was for the good common.

Camilo and his team had been working on a project called 360 degrees of Freedom for a couple of years. This consisted of creating a system that would broadcast live all the trials carried out in the world, and that these were also embodied in a chain of blocks in which any user could access. And if this were not completely amazing, the final decision of the trial would be made through a voting system that would be carried out by registered users in the network through an application.

Everything seemed to go smoothly. The arrangements for the transmission in the most important cities of the world were already ready, there are only a couple of minutes to start its official launch.

At the moment, the great speech begins:

"Hello world, welcome to the new era of a decentralized world, one where everyone counts. As you know corruption has invaded the world in the last decade, the safest cities in the world have recorded very high mortality rates, everything indicates that we are at that limit where the humanity of each one of us is at stake. Today the judicial system in more than 90% of the cases registered in the last decade has been decided by those who have money, that is, we have mocked to justice, as a consequence those who have no money, are crushed by this system. What we propose next is the solution to this problem, with this from now on the decision of each one of you can directly influence the judicial system in your country. "Camilo said loudly.

After the great speech, the servers of 360 degrees of Freedom begin. At that time 8 countries had agreed to enter the system without even thinking about it, many others were waiting for the first results.

During the following months, multiple protests were armed against this new system, all financed by large corporations, the reason was obvious.

After one year since the launch of the project, the results were already beginning to be observed, the indices of delinquency, homicides and rapes had already dropped by 70% during the first 10 trials, all pointing to the fact that people as a whole took the decision they think that were correct.

In the following weeks of the annual results published, more than 15 countries decided to join the system. The following weeks, the greatest power of the world: United States, had declared that it would sign an agreement to enter the system of 360 degrees of Freedom, after this, everyone was to the expectation, and it is not for less, the fact that one of the great powers joins the system, without a doubt, it would mark a before and an after for the project.

It was the big day. Camilo with his companions enter through the large door of the white house, everything was ready to sign the agreement in the great room, everything was designed to be shown in real time to the world, it was expected that once inside, the first trial would be executed in the next 10 min.

After a great speech on both sides, Camilo and his group manage to close the agreement. Now the world awaited the verdict of the first trial. This was nothing more and nothing less than one of the trafficking networks of the country's largest immigrant teenagers, the defendants were 5 Americans. At the moment, they start, both the defendants and the defense of the state show their evidence, all pointed to that it would be an almost unanimous decision, after more than an hour of transmission and with more than 150 million Americans connected, the desicion was expected, after a few minutes the system showed that there was a large difference in votes that favored that they were guilty, however the count was still, after a big screen, as if an alteration in the result was, 360 degrees shows as a result that the 5 Americans were innocent, that impacted everybody, the veracity of the project was at risk and is that such a decision was not to be expected, because the evidence that was against them, they were irrefutable.

Camilo and his group after observing the decision of the American people, begin to suspect that there was clearly something that altered the results, something was wrong, with great anger in his head, quickly along with a small part of his group was They head towards the next room, while they discuss the results, they begin to hear a series of shots. Everything indicated that it was a trap and that if it was against them, most likely the other part of their group no longer existed.

In the midst of what seemed to be a massacre, Camilo and his companions met immediately, however they knew clearly that leaving this situation and keeping them alive was almost impossible and that they had only one last alternative left. In the end, the decision would remain in the hands of the world.

Months before, and due to the large volume of threats they had received, 360 degrees of freedom had prepared the last update of their system. And the application of that update was just a touch of your smartphone.

Camilo and his hidden companions and with great fear decided to start their last job. Immediately the world is exposed, and as if it were a great cybernetic virus infects all the computers in the world. Now all the phones in his group were activated, thus transmitting images and sound to each existing computer. Their situation is clearly exposed to the world, at this point everyone could decide what would happen to them, however, they feared because their aggressors ignored the decision that the world would take about them, and even then they would probably die.

360 degrees of freedom had managed to expose to the world the persecution that was currently taking place against its creators, now everything was in the hands of the world. After a few minutes, and as if it were a game they started with more than 7 billion people through their phones or PC ready to vote, Camilo with his small group began to be perplexed at the decision that seemed to be taking the world. Everything indicated that their effort and focus for a better world hadn't paid off, apparently human beings have clearly arrived at that unbalanced area where the common good does not exist, one where it mattered the most is to satisfy their desires of evil and basic instincts lust. Apparently, nothing can be done, the human race is immersed in a cycle of no return, they only have their own destruction.

Immediately the group of soldiers when knocking down the door managed to enter the room where they are. Multiple shots are heard in the distance, while in the computers of the world the results of the system could be clearly observed. They all printed on their screen, coded to death.
