I write this post for all those who love like me, the world of writing. When you have a passion, the best way to realize yourself is to turn it into your source of income. This article is going to be about this: the digital alternatives to obtain income through writing.

Although it is clear that there are more options, here I will focus on only three: Amazon, Narrative and Steemit.

Amazon: the e-commerce giant has taken over the domain of self-publishing, which is especially implanted in the Anglo-Saxon world. The company offers authors the possibility to upload their books for free, charging a commission for the sales of their book.

Thus, Amazon does not make any investment and benefits are guaranteed.

The platform, allows to establish a minimum price of € 0.99, which provides a minimum income to the author of less than 30 cents per E-book-the platform takes 65% of the profits-. That is why, the They are more committed to publishing their e-book at the other minimum price, that of 2.99, thus allowing them to take almost € 2 for each book sold - in this case Amazon only takes 30%.

Well, how much money do you earn? While it is true that it is a good place to make yourself known, and publish your first e-book, I must tell you that working a career as a writer on Amazon is very expensive. You must invest in marketing, for which, the most advisable is to advertise your e-book with ads on Facebook Ads. My advice is that you accompany these promotions with a free book promotion, which you can request on Amazon for a maximum period of 5 days.

Despite this, I must admit, that Amazon is only a recommended option for those who see themselves with options to make a great leap in their career, because for writers, it is not a very abundant source of income.

That is why decentralization and cryptocurrencies come to our rescue, offering us alternatives such as Steemit.

Steemit: here we talk about a social network with more than one million users, where you can not only write, but also upload videos, photos, etc.

Steemit has a reputation system, which is granted by users based on their votes. The higher your score, the more options you have to see your content exposed, and therefore, to be voted and rewarded.

Is it easy to earn money on Steemit? Like Amazon, building a reputation that brings daily rewards is a long and stormy road. You must join growth groups, which will be more than useful in your first steps on the page. Once you position yourself as a quality author, your posts will be more and more voted, since reputation works as a halo effect

And how much do you earn? It is true that it is very difficult to become a mileurist or dosmileurist author but, after a year of daily publications, it is possible to obtain about € 50 per month. Is it little? The truth is that if. But think that these rewards will be getting fatter as you increase your reputation, being able to become a more than attractive complement to your salary, which you can get earlier than with Amazon posts.

And now we go with the last of the three.

Narrative: a very recent project, young and with many possibilities. Narrative is the network with the least users of the three, as it is possible that Narrative's active user base does not reach 5000 people. This on the one hand seems like a handicup, since there are few people to direct your content to; but on the other, it is a great advantage, because competition is still reduced.

As for the rewards system, I have to say that the absence of a mass of publications makes Narrative reward the users of the platform more than good, being relatively the most profitable of the three.

As a handicup, we can highlight the shortage of niches - in whose resolution the community works with ardor - or the impossibility of publishing in a language other than English - which they claim will be resolved over time.
And one more thing! Narrative has just been born. The project has a capitalization of less than 1 million dollars.

So, if you participate now and the project expands in the future, you could see how the value of the tokens you generate will multiply later.

Imagine an example: you earn $ 50 a month by publishing in Narrative. The cryptocurrency reaches a small capitalization, about 10 million dollars - 100 times greater than the current one - the value of your tokens would be multiplied by 100, turning those $ 50 into 5000.

So, without a doubt, I would recommend this third option in the first place, especially if your articles or short texts are your thing.

And we reach the end! I hope you enjoyed reading this article as much as I wrote it.
