There were several large corporations, who want this company to go bankrupt over the last few years.. but it did not happen.
So what did now happen...hmmm... if you start look what cars now all big car industries put out.. Audi, Mercedes , BMW, Peugeot... Jne.
You start see something big is start happen next 3 years. Just go and look this Audi E-tron GT or SUV , SUV sportback and A3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7 :))

Yeah, Musk even commented on this, that many people thought electric cars were stupid and now everyone wants to make one.
They wanted to do them before also, but big oil corporations paid so it wouldn't happen.
This cars also give as the ability to control are car's energy consumption. You just nee some solar panels and a wind generator to put on house and you control your consumption yourself. This how I see it.
