Unlucky you would say

You buy a brand new smartphone : Asus zenfone 2

You are happy and it's working perfectly for 2 years, no big falls , screen protected .You use it everyday and then from nowhere your screen start flickering , you are looking for info on internet and you find a lot of video and screenshots: 

 You realize your problem isn't an isolated case.Differents solutions were simple but were not working for long (changing your Android launcher i.e.) and being not able to unlock your screen or enter your pin code is a pain in the ass. Then you try the brute force :  reboot your phone to factory settings after saving all your important data but your screen is still flickering so you take fucking hours. 

When it's finally done , the problem persists... so you keep searching. Then you find relevant informations but not pleasant to hear : there is a high probability the screen connector is corroded because you are dumb enough to let the phone in the bathroom when you take your showers. You have to buy a new screen and changing it : 15 USD , 30 days shipping delivery . It finally arrives and the hardwork begins (

You need to get the adhesive band out , but yours doesn't want to come in one shot and you try to do smoothly a lever with a tool : bad idea. You see a small light between the cover and the battery but you aren't sure yet. Then comes the smell of something burned and toxic. 

It was a spark... Yep the battery is holed. 15 USD and 20 days later you get the chance to get a new one , you can finally change your screen.

You keep unplug piece by piece your phone , everything seems fine , you change the screen , all good. Then you have to plug in a tiny cable between the motherboard and the charging board.

BUT you manage to get these : 

The cable took the entire connector from the motherboard with it the first time it was unplug. So it's not anymore possible to plug in the cable on the motherboard unless you got a soldering iron and a lot of uncertainty to face. After having enough time and money spend in it , it's time to face reality and say goodbye. You buy a new phone and try to forget the fallen soldier...
