I’d like to introduce to you my local food market (Tarad Nut) in Thailand.

“Tarad” means market and “nut” means meeting/appointment. There are a wide range of local foods available there from unique desserts, vegetables and seasonal fruits all at great prices. This particular market runs twice a week but some open daily. This place is heaven for people on a low budget.

Why Tarad nut is very popular in Thailand?

Well firstly, there are various things available at cheap prices. Not to mention how friendly Thai people are, great prices come with a great smile. For under 100 Thai Baht you will have yourself plenty enough food to satisfy, and its great on the budget! Why cook when delicious food is so readily available?

Secondly well, the hustle and bustle of “Tarad Nut” and the stall vendors cooking and deal making makes for a great atmosphere.

These are pork meatballs, or ”Look shin” in Thai, which come with a spicy sauce.

This vendor is selling local seasonal fruits, apples, lychees, guava and durian.

Thai local dessert or “Sakuu sai moo” and jack fruit.

Here we have a wide verity of vegetables 🌶🌽

วันนี้อยากขอพูดถึงตลาดพื้นบ้านหรือตลาดนัดบ้านเราคะ

ตลาด หมายถึง เป็นแหล่งที่ซื้อขายสินค้า และ นัด หมายถึง การพบปะ เจอกัน เมื่อรวมกันแล้ว ก็คือแห่งที่รวบรวมสินค้าให้คนมาพบปะ จับจ่ายใช้สอยกันนั้นเองคะ ที่ตลาดใกล้ๆบ้านแห่งนี้มีสินค้าพื้นเมืองมากมาย เช่น อาหาร ผลไม้ตามฤดูกาล ผัก และขนมไทยโบราณ คะ โดยปกติแล้วจะเปิด2 วันต่อสัปดาห์ แต่บางแห่งก็เปิดทุกวันคะ

ทำไมตลาดนัดถึงเป็นที่นิยมในประเทศไทย

ข้อแรก คือ มีสินค้ามากมายให้เลือกและราคาถูก
พวกค้าแม่ค้ายิ้มแย้มแจ่มใส หากคุณมีเงิน 100 บาท คุณก็อิ่มหนำสำราญได้ในราคาเบาๆสบายกระเป๋า แล้วทำไมเราต้องทำอาหารเองด้วยละ ในเมื่อที่นี่มีแต่ของอร่อยๆ😆🤣

ลำดับที่สอง ตลาดนัดมีบรรยากาศความคึกคัก เต็มไปด้วยพ่อค้าแม่ขาย

บางส่วนของร้าน ภายในตลาดนัดคะ
ร้านลูกชิ้นปิ้ง ทานคู่กับน้ำจิ้มรสเด็ด

ร้านขายผลไม้ ซึ่งขายทั้งผลไม้นำเข้าและท้องถิ่น เช่นแอปเปิ้ล ฝรั่ง ลิ้นจี่ เป็นต้น

ร้านขายขนมสาคูไส้หมู และขนุน หวานกรอบ

ร้านขายผักนานาชนิด

ร้านอาหารรถเข็น มีอาหารให้เลือกอย่างตระการตา

วันนี้ซื้ออาหารของโปรดตัวเองไปเยอะเลยคะ คิดว่าตลาดแบบนี้คงเป็นจุดหมายปลายทาง ฝากท้องของหลายๆคนนะคะ
