In this Thanksgiving story for kids, we see a young girl preparing for the Thanksgiving feast by counting all the things around here during the Thanksgiving seasons. First she counts the 10 family members who have gathered together to enjoy the feast together. Nine autumn flowers have been arranged with thought and care to help decorate the table for the Thanksgiving feast. As we continue to read aloud together, we see the children taking eight steps downstairs to go play games together while the adults are cooking the food. Next the young girl sees 7 pots and pans that are being used to cook the food for the Thanksgiving feast. Back downstairs, the children are playing six holiday games such as pick up sticks and checkers. The young children all see their grandmother taking a five-minute snooze in preparation for the meal together. Next in this Thanksgiving book for kids, there are four special cooks preparing the feast including Grandpa and aunts and uncles. As the family prepares for the Thanksgiving food, we see three yummy pies that have been baked by Uncle Pete as a delicious dessert. There are two dueling televisions, one with a parade playing for the children to watch and another with football that the adults watch. the last thing being counted in this Thanksgiving book read aloud, we see one turkey that has been cooked to golden perfection and the feast finally begins!
