LYMANTRYA DISPAR
Today I want to share some catches with a caterpillar that I found in my garden, it is a small garden but my country is so vast in flora and fauna that it does not take a huge garden to find amazing animals.
Such is the case of this large specimen of a caterpillar, commonly called in english Gypsy moth(Lymantrya dispar) was walking among some leaves, it is very colorful and curious because its shape and colors make it very difficult to ignore.
This type of caterpillars are very voracious and are considered pests since they love to position themselves in forests and the amount of them is quite extensive being a complete disaster for the forests.
When he reaches his adult age, that is; When it has already made the metamorphosis it is transformed into a beautiful moth, the males are usually bigger and brown with black patches and the females which are unable to fly are white, their whole life cycle is one year.
I hope you have liked the captures made to this beautiful specimen.
