El cuervo / The crow
Hoy quiero hablar del cuervo, una ave muy especial y común en el norte de España, la cual conozco muy bien. El cuervo es una de las aves mas inteligentes, posee uno de los cerebros más grandes de todas las especies de aves. Son muchas las pruebas realizadas a cuervos cautivos y a otros en libertad las que han demostrado que son capaces de evaluar y resolver distintos acertijos y problemas, además de su gran inteligencia también tienen muy buena memoria, son capaces de recordar lugares en los que observaron dejar comida a otros cuervos o animales y se acuerdan de estos lugares, lo que les permite robársela. Personalmente he podido observar su comportamiento en grupo algo que siempre me a impresionado y disfrutar de sus espectaculares acrobacias aéreas, lo que para mi lo hace una ave única y superior a la mayoría del resto de aves.
Today I want to talk about the crow, a very special and common bird in the north of Spain, which I know very well. The raven is one of the most intelligent birds, has one of the largest brains of all bird species. There are many tests carried out on captive ravens and others in freedom that have shown that they are capable of evaluating and solving different riddles and problems, in addition to their great intelligence they also have a very good memory, they are able to remember places where they observed leaving food to other crows or animals and they remember these places, which allows them to steal it. Personally I have been able to observe their behavior in a group that has always impressed me and enjoy their spectacular aerial acrobatics, which for me makes it a unique bird and superior to most other birds.
