There is a global crisis in affordable and functional housing, as well as a cultural and community breakdown happening in most of the world. People are sucked into a lifetime of overwhelming debt to own a home and try to find security. The problem is that when you can't repay the loan, you have lost your security and just about everything you had. The knock on effects of having to live and work just to pay the bills stretches far into our culture and our zeitgeist. The stress and competitiveness of our current free markets have stretched the elastic band to breaking point, and people desperately need a way out. With the demise of the family unit, people are more vulnerable than ever as they get older.
All it takes is ONE thing to go wrong, and a cascade of consequences can leave you homeless and penniless or worse. There is very little provision made for vulnerable people and an ageing population, or indeed for anyone who gets ill or loses their job etc. Today being poor has been effectively criminalised, where people are forced to break the law due to their circumstances, or end up so downtrodden that they become mentally ill or resort to criminal activities just to survive.
THE SOLUTION TO ALL OF THIS AND MUCH MORE IS EARTHSHIP BIOTECTURE
Earthship Biotecture has to be one of the least understood sustainable building and living models around. This is not least because it offers SO many benefits that it is hard to even know them all, let alone explain them all!
When you are truly self-sufficient and out of debt you take away some of the main sources of stress: buying food, paying the bills, covering the mortgage or rent, and needing to work full-time to allow this to continue. We can also look at environmental issues and great need to build smarter and in a more connected way, especially in the face of climate change.

You're definitely right, the thing is sometimes people look for the best land to buy when all they need to do is to buy the cheapest one available and save money for construction really , because there's no really no need. And also we definitely working because we want brings a certain kind of Fufilment and desire and that's why we need to embrace a career choice we want.
totally! Can u believe that in Taos New Mexico, they bought the entire reach community land for $100 ! The state said no one could build there, but they sure proved them wrong! ITs a beautiful spot too, it just has no good access or power lines etc so they bought it and built an entire community up there!

The entire reach community? For 100$? Wow that's a steal in my opinion really In Such a land the natural habitat is more than amazing and I wonder why a person who Just wants to settle down would say this land is not amazing well I'm glad they were proven wrong. Amazing content you've got here.
thanks a lot! yes there is no need to spend a fortune on land if you choose the right spot.. and that certainly doesn't mean land that isnt nice, it all about fact that Earthships are so independent that you dont need all that huge expensive infrastructure!
Interesting concept to live in an earthship and be nearly self-sufficient. It’s certainly one way to have a home of your own and be environment friendly.

They are truly amazing! I want to build a few when I eventually get my land and setup my mental health centre. Hopefully it will be soon, I feel I am just waiting resources living in a house 💯🐒
Great to hear you are planning this! What country do you plan to do this in> Im always around for advice and support too.. Mental health center is SO needed these days.. probably a good idea to build near a city! ;-)
In the UK. Currently in the North but need to save for the land, the hard party hey! Yes I have big plans a very needed service for sure. I want it a bit rural but you are never far from a city in UK 💯🐒
okay! nice one.. You should have a relatively easy time because there is precident in England with Earthships. Notably Earthship Brighton and Earthship SHeppey.. the latter has gained an official negative carbon footprint!
