Can the world be explained purely mechanistically? Do we really see ourselves as genetically programmed machines? Does consciousness actually come from the brain?
More and more people are dealing with the topic of consciousness. How so? We are living in a time when humanity is increasingly being driven by its environment. Driven by more and more pressure, existential fears, lack of time and loneliness. They are usually unaware of this, or simply can not rethink. But if we realize that our consciousness influences our reality, that is our life, then we can change that. Many people have already set out to learn more about how our consciousness works. For if we understand these, then we can positively influence our lives and ourselves become the creators of our reality.
Science is working hard to fathom awareness. BUT! Yes, here we have to critically question. How does our science work? Where are their limits? Does science not base its findings primarily on dogmas, ie beliefs? Does this make it a kind of new religion? The British scientist, Rupert Sheldrake, will address this issue during our journey. As seemingly naive child questions he formulates the dogmas, and returns them to science. He exposes the "obvious" certainties in all their inadequacy. These contradict increasingly new and newest insights and theories of science itself - which still does not want to let go of its materialistic basis. Since the shock of quantum theory, more puzzles are piling up in physics, biology, medicine, and cosmology than certainties.
