As with any case that involves such highly charged people and minds, there will be details glossed over and denied. I can feel a huge gap involved here that can only be solved by people living from their heart and being totally honest. Such a heart centered and balanced / empathic state of existence/being is sadly rare for people in our world today and so we see such huge heartlessness and denial around the world that takes so many forms.

While it is clear that having a technology company censoring people AT ALL is problematic for human evolution, communication and balance - it is also the case that having people literally attacking others from remotely removed geographic location whereby they cannot face a response to their evil intent is also a problem. I have seen an interview with Facebook's team recently where they said they remove something like 1+ million profiles every day (it might even be higher, I don't recall the exact number) - partially because the accounts can be created by automated systems and partially because they are unable to predict where people they have banned will later return. They certainly do target the removal of jihadist pages, as well as just about anything that remotely resembles 'hate speech' (as demonstrated by my recent banning from FB for sharing an ANTI nazi meme). It is clear from the various leaks, including from Edward Snowden, that Facebook and Google have both given direct server level access to governments to allow them to censor directly - bypassing due process. I am fairly sure that their censorship goes well beyond 'hate speech' or targeting 'right wing' or 'conservative' speakers (setting aside that I disagree with the historical accuracy of these designations themselves). In truth, they covertly restrict the reach of many types of content (including preventing users from seeing the existence of groups that cover topics they are trying to deny the existence of and also just outright deleting comments in realtime without notification or warning.. Even just for mentioning 3speak or steem).

Ultimately, we need to replace all centralised forms of governance and control with decentralised versions that are fair and self regulating. There is no other valid solution.
