Throwback Thursday - Me and My Girls
As I've mentioned in previous Throwback Thursdays, I've been going through the bazillion bankers boxes that I have, filled with old school photographs from my early shutterbugging days, as well as my grandmather's and father's collections. This week, I'm sharing a couple dozen captures of me and my girls.
I decided on this as a theme for a myriad of reasons. One, I dipped into a new box, and found a whole bunch of photos we haven't seen in a while. The girls started looking through some of the stacks, and put aside a ton of ones they wanted me to scan asap. Two, Facebook reminded me this morning of a photo the eldest and I took together after getting our hair done, and it made me nostalgic for the days we used to all take pictures together. I need to make it more of a habit, before our three now adult children move out on their own. Well, and after too - essentially, I just want to take more pictures of us together!
Oh, and I figured I'd make this an all girl thing, because I've promised all three that before I share pictures of them on any social media, I'd run 'em by them first. The girls already approved these two dozen shots (and a bunch more besides), so it made it that much easier.
However, here's one shot that our boy cleared, to show our little family around 2000.
Clockwise, starting on the right (at 3pm) - Hubby Jim, our youngest girl Ciara (pronounced, Ki-ra), our boy Tristan, and our eldest girl Caillean (Kay-lee-en) who also goes by Cailli (Kay-lee).
In the coming weeks, I plan to do more themes like this, such as "The kids and Nanny" with my mother, "My boys" with pictures of our boy and my hubby, and such.
Hope you enjoy my little stroll down memory lane with my daughters!

I love walking down the memory lane, you have a great records of your girls, such a precious moment...
Some of these are surprisingly similar to photos that my wife and I have. I guess it reflects common experiences that parents and their children have. Still, as I look at your photos it reminds me of the ones we have of us and our children with similar poses and situations.

So fun to see! Now I want to go to my parents house and look through old photos! My mom was wanting to start getting rid of some of the excessive ones recently, but I need to make a point to go over to make sure she doesn't get rid of any I'd like to keep. 😊
