The revised versions of the original Tomb Raider Trilogy announced a week ago at Steam, met an unexpected and insurmountable barrier - copyright.

The release of Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II, and Tomb Raider III: The Adventures of Lara Croft in the PC platform ended unmistakably after Realtech VR did not actually get permission from Square Enix.

Realtech VR wished to rework the three games with a new three-dimensional engine and if you own DOS originals, the revised versions should have been available without money. The reason for this is that Realtech VR does not own the rights to the games and can not use their original files. Instead, since the classic trilogy is available on Steam, the company uses its resources.

But the studio does not own the copyright on the beautiful virtual adventurer, and Square Enix does not waste any time. The publisher banned the project and requested YouTube to remove all the videos with the revised games.

If you're disappointed, you still have Shadow of the Tomb Raider coming out in September for the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
