Bitcoin tamamen Blockchain altyapısını kullanmaktadır. En değerli kripto para olan BTC'de ani düşüşlerde tüm alt coinler etkilenir. BTC toplamda 21 Milyon adet olunca üretimi bitecek. Her 4 yılda bir madencilere verilen ödül yarı yarıya düşmektedir. Şu anda 12,5 btc 'lik blok bulma ödülü vadır.
