RE: #trackoftheday - SHARE YOURS & WIN SBI SHARES! (7-14 June)

@jaynie,

This was an adaptation of K'naan's "Waivin' Flag," performed by numerous young Canadian musicians for the purpose of raising money for the reconstruction of Haiti following that's country's devastating earthquake in 2010.

K'naan is descedent from a long line of Somalia poets and, in the original song, the devastation is caused not by an earthquake, but by the war of warlords that has plagued his country for many decades.

I have always found this adaptation particularly moving, each musician putting aside their egos and lending their unique talents to accomplish something for a greater good.

Both most enjoyable, great historical lyrics in the song, never heard either so listened to both @quill

@tryskele,

I hope @jaynie agrees because, if not, SOMEBODY might write alternative lyrics entitled, "Ravin' Nag."

Quill

Love both!
