The rise of cryptocurrencies has changed the investment management industry, from centralized to decentralized management. The crypto boom rose from $7 Billion to $18 Billion in 2017 and is currently pegged at more than $200 Billion at the time of writing this article. The cryptocurrency awareness has been the major factor boosting this growth and a lot of companies adopting blockchain to raise funds and offer security tokens.

Investing in cryptocurrency assets is favored by investors due to its transparency, smart contract feature and ability to decentralize centralized investment. The security of the assets is guaranteed in a blockchain network due to its distributed ledger technology where this network has been confirmed hard to temper with. Assets in this environment are owned and 100% controlled by a decentralized environment making it hard to fraud and looting.

With this boom in decentralized investment management, a start-up called Quantler plans to disrupt the industry by introducing missing features such as connection to major exchanges with specialized traders and cryptocurrency managers. The platform also allows sharing of strategies in an automate environment chosen by the investors.

The quantler platform allows investors to take control of their investment through decentralized investment management eliminating the need of handing over your investments to a third-party manager.

The quantler platform will allow investors to choose their preferred themes that are automated to manage their funds, Investors will be able to create their own themes or use existing ones. The process will be full automated and managed through smart contracts that will be executed in form of Quant funds modules.

Quantler has been able to mint Quant tokens through the Ethereum platform to help in managing the platform management processes including raising funds through the ICO. The tokens will be used as the fuel of the Quantler platform where they will be used as medium of exchange and will also be used to reward miners helping in the validation of the processes. The Quant tkens will also be used to reward the decentralized community who go above and beyond to help the platform succeed; this include bounty hunters, security testers etc.

CONCLUSIONS

The cryptocurrency investment opportunities have attracted investors who value transparency, decentralization, privacy and decentralized form of governance. This will have a radical change on how this fund are managed. It's my believe that centralized investment managers will have to shift to decentralized management to attract more investors in the new industry which is currently valued at more than $200 million dollars. As more awareness of the cryptocurrency market spread more investors will trend towards blockchain and cryptocurrencies environment raising the market cap and increase the value of the market creating more opportunities to investment management.

Traditional management strategies which are centralized will be disrupted by decentralized management, which promises a lot of features which are valuable to investors and will likely attract them. Quantler will be a good platform for starters who were not formerly favored due to their small portfolios and centralized investment management will find this platform great to expand their client.

It's my hope that Quantler has what it takes change the investment management industry and true to its quote it might disrupt wall street as we know it by bringing in missing features in the current investment management models, Blockchain technology has the capability to bring more value, trust and security in the industry and as a young start-up Quantler has more room for growth and it’s a project worth keeping an eye on.
