Sorry to break your heart. I started writing a different story and after using the horse as a reference it turned into this story instead of the other. I hated to end it the way I did but it drew me in and I was left with telling the truth or making up a different ending.
It pays better tribute to Skunk to tell it fully and leaving that raw, dull pain for the reader to experience. Horribly sad, beautifully written x
