Jardin du Luxembourg, Paris, France
This photo image, made with analog photo camera, was taken at Jardin du Luxembourg, also known in English as the Luxembourg Gardens, in Paris, France in 1998.
The garden is situated on the border between Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the Latin Quarter, in the 6th arrondissement of French capital. It was created upon the initiative of Queen Marie de Medici in 1612. The garden is nowadays owned by the French Senate, which is the upper house of the French Parliamente. The Senate is housed inside the Luxembourg Palace and the garden around the palace building is open to the public. The palace garden, which covers some 25 hectares of property land, are split into French gardens and English gardens. It has 106 statues spread throughout the park with the monumental picturesque Medici fountain. There are many activities and facilities for adults and children to enjoy, like playing chess, tennis, concerts, puppet shows, art and photo exhibitions, remote control model sailboats and many more.
Wonderful, vintage looking photo of Jardin du Luxembourg. I have been there. It is amazing place to relax in the center of Paris.
