Bad Wildbad - King Karl Spa / König Karl Bad
A few weeks back I wrote a post about the spa town of Bad Wildbad. Today I show you one of the old Spa Buildings, as I was quite impressed by the architecture.
The King Karl Spa
Vor ein paar Wochen schrieb ich einen Post über die Kurstadt Bad Wildbad. Heute zeige ich Ihnen eines der alten Spa-Gebäude, da ich von der Architektur sehr beeindruckt war.
Das König Karl Bad
The constructions of the building started in 1881 when they realized that both, the Graf-Eberhard-Spa and the Katharinenstift wasn´t big enough to accomodate the increasing number of visitors.
Die Bauarbeiten begannen 1881, als sie feststellten, dass sowohl das Graf-Eberhard-Spa als auch das Katharinenstift nicht groß genug waren, um die steigende Besucherzahl zu befriedigen.

The building was designed in the Renaissance style with baroque elements which you can clearly see inside the building.
Das Gebäude wurde im Renaissancestil mit barocken Elementen gestaltet, die man im Inneren des Gebäudes deutlich sehen kann.

On the ground floor of the building there was a shared room, warm air, hot air and steam baths and a changing room. On the upper floor there were some community rooms.
Im Erdgeschoss des Gebäudes befanden sich ein Gemeinschaftsraum, Warmluft, Heißluft- und Dampfbäder sowie eine Umkleidekabine. Im Obergeschoss gab es Gemeinschaftsräume.

Since 1972 the building is listed and and serves nowadays as function rooms and a cinema.
Seit 1972 steht das Gebäude unter Denkmalschutz und dient heute als Veranstaltungsraum und Kino.
