Life can be simple at times...but people choose to make it worse with their depression and state of anger getting the best of them...and taking the lives of innocent people in the process.
Not all trauma can be seen, so it takes a special kind of help in order to heal. DOGS!

When victims of attacks like the shooting in Las Vegas are recovering, they are often left with many emotional and mental wounds, as well as physical ones, that also need support so they can truly process their experience.

And one great source of comfort is a supportive hug from a golden retriever. Dogs as we know are specifically keynote creatures that could love people more than they could love themselves...Its a regular phenomenon we see daily.bf.JPG

The day after the attack, The LCC-K9 comfort dogs, backed by the Lutheran Church Charities, announced they were headed to Las Vegas to help heal the injured survivors.

The nine trained dogs visited hospitals to provide therapeutic comfort to survivors and attended candlelight vigils for those who did not survive the attack. Therapy dogs are often used as part of mental health services.

The benefits of therapy dogs are extremely well documented. There is also an ongoing program to place therapy dogs with veterans who are struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), known as Pets for Vets.

Tim Hetzner, founder of the K-9 Comfort Dog Ministries, told ABC news, “[The dogs are] unconditional, confidential, and safe. Dogs have an incredible sense of when somebody is hurting. They'll just come and lay themselves into somebody's lap.”

Afterall the Las Vegas incidence might be terrifying...but lets be thankful for the living and pray the dead receive peace and their family find a place in their heart to be blessed and free from their grievances...Its with a sad heart that I write this...It's only love that can save this world and nothing else.

The release of oxytocin from touch has been shown to be one of the most powerful calming effects on earth, and drives a lot of the "employment" of dogs as service animals. It's honestly surprising it's not more common for us to spend time with animals as a form of emotional self-care.

probably why animal cafes are so popular in cities like Tokyo where stress level are fairly high!

Exactly @lou-harms...you could say that again
