Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @tmayd:

In honor of the city of Prague expanding its tram network and to celebrate the long tradition of this mode of public transportation, here is a picture of a vintage tram on line 41. I made it a black and white photograph reminiscent of years past. Long live the tram!

I rewarded @tmayd winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit her blog and check out some of her other entries.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

The first funicular at Petřín Hill was built already in 1891 and its operation was terminated in 1921. In 1932 the non-functioning cable car was re-launched and operated until 1965, when traffic was again stopped for technical reasons. The new cable car was put into operation in 1985 with new cars that still operate today. The track is 510 meters long and exceeds 130 meters. Thanks to the price of 24 CZK per one ride, it is probably the cheapest cable car in Europe.

I like that! What a great entry worth featuring in today's edition. Congrats and thank you. Tomas

Side view of the Red Chateau, one of the chateaus of the Hradec nad Moravici Chateau Complex. Located just outside the Silesian city of Opava, the Hradec nad Moravici Chateau is considered one of the most beautiful chateaus in the Czech Republic. The main gate of the Red Chateau that looks like cut out of a fairytale is currently under reconstruction so hopefully, I will be able to take a photo of that too soon.

Continuing with yesterday entry about photos related with Prague tram service. In this picture it can be seen a modern tram, it contrasts with the classical building behind it. This photo was taken near the World War II Memorial.

Stavovské (Nosticovo) divadlo, (Nostic Theater), Ovocný trh (Fruit Market), Praha 1, Staré Město
P1080385.JPG
The oldest Prague theater, built between 1781 and 1783. W.A.Mozart came here to watch the performances of his operas.
The theater has been playing for 235 years. "Patriae et Musis". For Our Mothercountry and for Muses, this is a slogan above this entrance.

We followed the steps of 'Machal' from famous Czech fairytale (S certy nejsou zerty) and visited The 'Pruhonice' castle. It is a great place to spend your afternoon.

I really like to travel by train in Czech Republic. I like observing this country through the train's window but also somehow I feel closer to people who live there and I don't have to talk to them. I like the most small trains which you can see between small villages.

Kunětická hora is the name of the castle and the hill near Pardubice.
According to archaeological research, the castle was founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. The system of fortification was built by Diviš Bořek in 15th century. Diviš got the castle to the pladge from Emperor Zikmund.
Kunětická hora is the dominant of the flat landscape near the Labe river.

Evening city

I made this photo saying goodbye to Cesky Krumlov. I spent only a few hours there. I really wanted to stay overnight and take a room in some small cozy hotel, take a mug of good Czech beer. But ... things could not wait.
