Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @mariainesff:

Petřín Lookout Tower, one of the most prominent landmarks of Prague, was built as part of the Jubilee Exhibition in 1891 as a loose copy inspired by the Eiffel Tower (at a ratio of 1:5). It is 63.5 metres high, and 299 steps lead to its peak, which is at the same altitude as the real Eiffel Tower.

I rewarded @mariainesff winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit her blog and check out some of her other entries.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

vyšehrad cemetery.jpg

The Vyšehrad cemetery, adjacent to the Church of Sts Peter and Paul, is one of the most significant cemeteries in Prague. Over 600 famous people are buried here – writers, scientists, poets, artists, composers, actors, doctors, politicians, and others. At the cemetery’s eastern end, you’ll find the monumental tomb Slavín, where the nation’s most famous personages are laid to rest.

PD: Thank you very much for selecting my photo. Greeting Mr. Tomas.

It is quite rare to get an entry from Vysehrad cemetery, yet an amazing place to visit. You get featured again, what a great weekend for you:).... Thank you so much and enjoy the rest of it. Tomas

It's a wonderful place, I've been lucky, thank you for your kindness. Cheers!

Church of St. Jacob the Greater, Street Malá Štupartská, Prague 1, Old Town
P1080382.JPG
This church had great misfortune during its existence (from the 13th century). It burned repeatedly. The last major repair and rebuilding took place very slowly between 1689 and 1739. One of the towers was never completed.
It is just 250 meters from Old Town Square. But it disappears in the surrounding construction. And the surrounding streets are narrow.

this view is from the frontage of the left-side entrance to the Lednice castle. the bone of contention here is about the care of the lawn right infront. a major factor here is the impact or importance of water and for that matter the sprinklers. the grasses and the flower species need water to grow. in as much as water supply should not be ceased, excessive application could be detrimental.
Enjoy this beautiful view

With a total area of 250 hectares, the Průhonice Park along with Průhonice castle are a Czech National Historic Landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

You can spend hours in here and always find new things to capture.

A doorhandle

Today I present one old photo from my trip to Prague.
You will say that here is noteworthy? And it will be right))))
I really liked the wonderful door handle. It's just a masterpiece of arts and crafts.
Often we do not pay attention to details, but these details often play an important role ...

The beautiful streets of the old town square, where you fill with all the culture that surrounds you on all sides, those streets are perfect for walking, stopping to have a delicious coffee and continue touring that peculiar city.

Powder Tower of Prague

It is one of the most impressive Gothic monuments in Prague. Built in 1475, the Powder Tower is the monumental gateway to the Old Town that used to be the coronation processions of the kings of Bohemia. It owes its name to the fact that it served a long time as a deposit of gunpowder. It is still today the starting point of the Royal Way which crosses the Old City to go up to the Castle.

Krkonose National Park, Bohemia.
krkonoše are a mountain range located in the north of the Czech Republic. Good for beginners, children and people, who can skiing for 1-2 days. It is not to samll not to big. Perfect for few days of fun moments. You can enjoy skiing on ski slopes of all levels of difficulty in total length over 7km.

Speaking of beautiful Prague, you can not pass by the Old Town Square, which, like in the past, is now the center of the city's active life. Once upon a time there was a noisy market, now there is a pedestrian zone and a lot of beautiful sights.
There are always a lot of people on the square. Therefore, life boils here with the key. Basically, most of the people on the square are tourists.
