7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #36 - winner announcement!

@jayclar30 Australian Monday entry:

This is Natural Bridge but is sometimes called Natural Arch. It is a stunning waterfall found in Springbrook National Park in Queensland, Australia. I was blessed the day we visited, we had been there for a little while and I had already taken a heap of photos but then the sun found an area through the trees to shine through making my photos all the better. The reflection from the sun on the water was reflecting up onto the roof of the cave highlighting it's fabulous textures and colours.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #36 - winner announcement!

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Next frame from "Endangered Species" series. Pretty long exposure shot of a beautiful sunset at the Baltic Sea coast, nearby the gates to the port of Klaipeda. Pretty stormy skies, but still with touch of colors from the dawning sun at the horizon. A long piece of wood as a perfect foreground leading the eye to the endless sea. Enjoy the scenery!

During my October 2017 visit to Tangier, Morocco I had a chance to walk through the Medina (Old Town) of the city. It was truly an incredible experience. The alleyways wind and turn in a confusing labyrinth that I got lost in a few times! Besides the shops and vendors that were plentiful here, you could also get a sense of how locals live their daily lives from the many residences in this part of the city.

Douz Tunisia
Take a stroll between the expanses of sand and salt and the lush vegetation of the oases that cover the south of Tunisia.
This area is more authentic & quiet, more hospitable also compared to the hyper-touristy North where one has as much the impression of being on the Spanish coasts than in Tunisia.
It's amazing to see endless white sand dunes from the sand and I loved the fact that we got there just in time to watch the sunset! It is magic ! I will never forget this experience!

Thank you so much for this wonderful image!

Not at all..

I love the vibe of your shot ! feels like an old camera with the grain around the picture :)

Kolmanskop, Namibia

One of the most famous views from Kolmanskop - doorways blocked by sand dunes. You have very strange feeling when you walking inside house full of sand. Memento mori :)

I guess it is quite a sad sign of something going terribly wrong....

South Africa. What a great country. We spent 3 weeks overthere and we we hoping for the big 5.
And yes, we were even lucky to see the big 5 in one day. This leopard is one of them. I will never forget.

That's great you were able to accomplish your mission and even take some fab pictures.

Why go electric when you can ride a donkey and two wheels?
Marrakesh is full of those cute hard-working little donkeys, they can transport anything from food to garbage. They are mainly used because the medina streets in Marrakech are too small for other electric vehicles.

Like in the old days:)....

Ait Benhaddou, Morocco

Ait Benhaddou, the "fortified village", is an amazing place to visit. The mud brick village has been home to many film sets such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones (Yunkai) and today is a popular day trip from Marrakech.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

It sure does look amazing and your image is a prove of it.

Cliff-path-at-Hermanus6.jpg
On your way to Cape Town, a short (or maybe longer) stop should be Hermanus. A few miles before you reach the town the Cliff Path begins. When you come near Hermanus, there will be plenty of cafes, where you can make a rest and enjoy the ocean.

What a wonderful place that is. Thank you for bringing it to our attention through my contest. Tomas

Cape Town - Boulders Beach

Welcome to Boulders Beach and say hello to these little friends. Yes, you can swim with penguins in this beach near Cape Town. If you're planning a visit, don't forget to add Boulders in your calender. First I was a little afraid but then, I saw that it's so safe, I started to get comfy with them!

What a cute little fellas! Thank you so much for sharing with us this wonderful image.

Thank you too for hosting these contest, it's a pleasure to participate.

The afternoon sun strikes the Chyulu Hills in Tsavo West, Kenya. A land scape that is usually dry and grey has once again been transformed into lush green by the arrival of the rains.

Those landscape transformation during the rain season are just amazing and fascinating. Thanks ever so much for you contribution.

Golden hour at Nile, nearby Luxor, Egypt. Shot handheld from the top deck of small cruise ship. A boat with fishermen is making the scene much more interesting combined with beautiful colors of sunset.
All this bring very nice memories from the trip

Enjoy the scenery :)
