Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #69 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

• Monday: Australia and New Zealand
• Tuseday: Antarctica + the world’s oceans
• Wednesday: Africa

My entry for the new year is one of my favourite images of 2018. With the Kuju-Renzan in the background, the Shindonotaki Falls stand out as a silver sliver that slices through the great Narukogawa Keikoku forest.

Kata Beach, Phuket Thailand

Kata Beach in the south of Phuket in Thailand is one of the most tourist beaches on the island, but It´s also a perfect spot for beautiful sunsets.

Temple "Wat Phra Sri Sanphet" - Temple of the Holy, Splendidd Omniscient in Ayutthaya, Thailand. The city Ayutthaya is a former capital city of Thailand. You can get there by train from Bangkok. This area in Ayutthaya is absolutely stunning. I still wonder at how these temples and stupas were built so many years ago with the limited tools that were at hand. It resembles the most famous temple in Cambodia Angor Wat.

Visiting the Forbidden City is in Bejing definately a must-do destination. Unfortunately there are always a lot of other tourists with the same interest. The Forbidden City was built from 1406-1420, temporarily one million slaves have worked on it.

Bali, Taiwan

A few weeks ago I visited Bali - but instead of taking a flight to Indonesia, I visited the seaside town Bali in Taiwan. Connected to Tamsui by ferry, Bali is a great trip from Taipei.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

"Hua Lamphong" is the name of this railway station in the city centre of Bangkok. When I entered this hall, the first thing that came to my mind was, that it might be a great spot for a crystal ball photo and after some shots I was very satisfied with the result.

The red-hot desert

Amazing and hot sunset at the sandy dunes of Dubai, UAE. Shot with a long tele-photo lens compressing the perspective, so the sun appears much closer and bigger. Shot not really far from Dubai international airport, so got quite a luck to catch even two planes into the frame - one landing, another one flying away

Enjoy the scenery :)

Along the Hoogly river, the sun is slowly setting. The colours are very warm and this is the best time to hop on a boat and sail the waters to enjoy the view over amazing temples built on the river side.

Galle is a small town in south Sri Lanka, a Unesco World Heritage Site, in part due to the presence of a fort, remnant of the portuguese and dutch ocupation. Among the several buildings that we can find inside the fort, this one stands out: a beautiful lighthouse.

Temple of Confucius, Beijing, China.
This is the place where people paid homage to Confucius during the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty.
It was initially built in 1302 and additions were made during the Ming and Qing dynasties. With is 5.4 acres (22,000 square meters), it is the second largest temple constructed for Confucius, the greatest thinker and educationalist in ancient China, ranking only behind the Temple of Confucius in Qufu, Shandong Province.

I ran into a group of tea workers in the highlands of Sri Lanka. Poor weather conditions did not call for a day off. Instead they met me with warm smiles.
