This was magical trip and workshops on Lofoten islands in northern Norway. Last day we got the most fantastic Aurora show I have ever seen. Here - with the night sky above well known and iconic fishing village called Reine.
For this shot I had to use ND grad filter on the town, to darken the city lights.

@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:

I took this photo on the roof top of the Regalia apartment complex in Kuala Lumpur. In my opinion there you can enjoy the best panoramic view of the whole city. Especially watching a sunrise there is an amazing experience!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #85 – winner announcement!

@dronegraphica Australian Monday entry:

This is the lovely town of Akaroa in Cantebury on the south island of New Zealand. People refer to this place as the Kiwi 'French Rivera' due to its French influence from the colonial times. It is situated in a beautiful bay and is visited by cruise liners, as they can no longer access Christchurch since the earthquake.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #85 - winner announcement!

@paniczklos African Wednesday entry:

I've promised myself not to bore you with zebras anymore, so I dig up a photo of fighting ( loving?;)) Wildebeests - and yes I didn't know either that it's a real name. I thought locals are saying "wild beast" and it amused me that some one calls a Gnu this way. Now I wish I had some.more spectacular photos from my trip to Africa as it might not happen soon again ;/

Beautiful water Castle in Glücksburg, Germany.

Sitting in a middle of a little artificial lake, the Castle is one of the most famous attractions in Schleswig-Holstein and a great example of a Renaissance Castle in Europe. It belonged to several different nobility families throughout the centuries. Worth a trip for sure and check out the museum inside the castle.

From the top of this hill the view is stunning. Rays of sun piercing through the clouds enlightening the estuary. This scenery was breathtaking and despite the cold wind I remember wanted to stay there watching the sunset. Northern Ireland is such a great place :)

Location: Northern Ireland.

Ruins of Pompeii, Vesuvius in the background, Italy
P1010572.JPG
Pompeii would be a completely unknown city, if it was 24.10.ro 79 did not blast the volcano Vesuvius. As a result, Pompeii has entered history.
I think that probably all the people who lived there would have stayed completely unknown before they became fossils.

Hi! This my wife during our hike on Velky Krivan in Slovakia last week. We've started at around 500 meters,hiked up to 1450m and then walked on the ridge, to finally reach Velky Krivan at 1705m. It took whooping 5 hours and 15km - it was our first mountain higher than 200m :D

The photo was taken in Portugal near the small town of Zambujeira del Mar. I was there in April and the coast was blooming everywhere. This photo was composed from 4 photos.

Wow, great shot!

Nice one! That's one of my favourite get-away places in the summer! ;)

St Mary's Bay is located along the Path coast in South Devon (UK), between Dartmouth and Brixham. The Path of the Coast then climbs through wooded areas containing Monterey and Corsican Pines, a beautiful area for the habitat of birds and incredible landscapes with cliffs, beaches and blue sea.

There are many great places in England to go for walks, including many around Surrey south west of London. I captured this photo during one of my walks on the ancient bridleway, it's almost feels as if I was back in the old days.

The Colosseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheater, is the largest Colosseum ever built in the Roman Empire. Its construction began between 70 and 72 AD. J.-C to be completed in 80.
the Colosseum was used for venationes (wild animal fights), munera (gladiator fights) and other public spectacles, such as executions of death row inmates, reconstructions of famous battles and dramas based on Roman mythology.

Very wide angle lens is pretty specific for use, especially in portrait or architectural photography. But sometimes result is is quite interesting and unusual. Here is the shot of Klaipeda old town from the river side using 12mm as widest possible angle. While deforming quite a lot architectural lines, the view is pretty funny and warm

Enjoy!
